ECO-NODE

In Copenhagen, Denmark there is a district known as the Meat-packaging district in which habits many trendy coffee shops, restaurants, and night clubs. Local Danish people come here to celebrate each other, and have a great time. I was challenged to create a “Human-Recharger” for the space. Meaning, a pavilion heavily inspired by nature.

Growth

Many of the challenges in the meat packaging district surrounded poor shade, bad pedestrian traffic, and a lack of nature. This pavilion project aims to solve these problems. Investigating nature on a deeper level allowed me to understand nature’s strong connection with each other. I felt that there was a lot humans can learn from this concept that ”we are all connected” and we need to try and figure out how to connect better with each other. This concept of learning from nature was the driving factor for the growth, expansion, and modularity. While Allowing the community to decide what this pavilion is, and how it looks and functions.
