In Packaging design, I worked on redesigning Mindo Handmade Chocolates. This is a Natural Ann Arbor-local Chocolate brand that sources their Cacao from Mindo, Ecuador. They take a lot of pride in their beans, and their strong relationship with their farmers. The targeted market is Ann Arbor locals looking for a luxurious desert. A large part of this redesign was considering trend forecasts, while keeping some of those roots that mean so much to the brand’s identity. For this project, I designed three different options, each going further and further from the original design. Figuring out how to no only sell the product, but the brands fair-trade relationship with their farmers in Mindo, Ecuador.
